  • Tax Senior Associate
  • . The successful candidates will be

responsible for delivering high quality tax compliance and advisory services to a portfolio of local, regional, and multinational clients. The role requires strong technical tax knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple engagements while supporting Managers and Partners on complex advisory assignments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and review corporation tax returns, tax computations, deferred tax calculations, withholding tax filings, VAT returns, and other statutory submissions.

Conduct detailed reviews of client financial statements, accounting records, and tax positions to ensure compliance with applicable tax legislation and identify planning opportunities.

Assist with the preparation of tax advisory reports, technical memoranda, tax opinions, and client correspondence.

Perform tax due diligence exercises for mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other corporate transactions.

Research domestic, regional, and international tax legislation and provide technical support on tax advisory engagements.

Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients and respond to routine tax queries in a timely and professional manner.

Support advisory engagements involving corporate taxation, transfer pricing, tax planning, cross-border transactions, and regulatory compliance matters.

Liaise with tax authorities regarding assessments, audits, objections, tax clearances, and interpretation of tax legislation.

Assist audit engagement teams with tax-related financial statement disclosures, corporate tax provisions, and deferred tax calculations under IFRS.

Monitor engagement progress against timelines and communicate potential issues to Managers and Partners.

Manage the delivery of outsourced accounting and tax compliance services, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.

Review work prepared by Associates and provide constructive feedback and on-the-job coaching.

Support the development of Associates through training, mentoring, and technical guidance.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within engagement delivery.

Assist with proposals, client presentations, business development initiatives, and practice development activities.

Maintain KPMG's quality, risk management, independence, and professional standards at all times.

  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.

  • Professional accounting designation (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent)

Post-graduate qualification in Taxation is an asset.

Minimum three to five (3–5) years of relevant experience in tax compliance and advisory services within a professional services environment.

Prior experience within a Big 4 or international professional services firm is preferred.
