BAKER'S INNApplications are invited for the Quality Control Technician position within Baker's Inn Manufacturing - Northern Region, Harare.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be required to take full charge of all key responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:• Coordinate all activities related to product quality and food safety management.• Conduct raw material, packaging material, and finished product evaluations and testing.• Monitor production processes and verify compliance with quality standards.• Implement and maintain PRPs and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).• Record and report quality inspections, test results, deviations, and corrective actions.• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality and food safety systems.• Ensure laboratory and quality equipment are calibrated and maintained.• Support internal audits and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and ExperienceThe ideal candidate should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications:• BSc Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related quality discipline.• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within the food manufacturing industry.• Experience in the baking industry will be an added advantage.• Working knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems and prerequisite programmes.• Understanding of SLAs, COAs, and COCs.• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
