Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) is inviting suitably qualified personnel to fill in the following post:Works Infrastructure Maintenance Supervisor (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of artisans, grounds personnel, and other maintenance staff.• Receiving, prioritising, allocating, and monitoring job cards to ensure timely completion of maintenance works.• Inspecting completed maintenance works to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.• Coordinating routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance of University buildings, infrastructure, and facilities.• Monitoring the use and maintenance of tools, equipment, materials, and other departmental resources.• Conducting regular inspections to identify maintenance requirements and recommend corrective action.• Ensuring compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations during maintenance operations.• Maintaining maintenance records and preparing periodic reports.• Assisting in the planning and implementation of infrastructure maintenance programmes.• Performing any other duties as assigned by the Campus Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• A National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Building Technology, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or any other related technical qualification.• A skilled trade qualification in plumbing, electrical installation, carpentry, bricklaying, or a related building trade will be an added advantage.• At least three (3) years' relevant supervisory experience in facilities, infrastructure, or maintenance management.• Sound knowledge of building maintenance, infrastructure management, and occupational health and safety standards.• Good communication and interpersonal skills.• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.• Strong leadership, organisational, and supervisory skills.• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.• High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
