Merri Outreach Support Service (MOSS) has been supporting people experiencing or at risk of homelessness since 1989. Guided by our vision of striving to end homelessness, sustaining housing, and strengthening communities, we help people access housing, support services and opportunities that improve their wellbeing and quality of life. Our Support and Community Engagement programs work alongside older people experiencing homelessness, housing vulnerability and social isolation, helping them remain connected, independent and safely housed within their communities. At MOSS, we value inclusion, compassion, collaboration and social justice.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Program Manager – Support and Community Engagement to lead a diverse portfolio of housing, aged care and community support programs across Melbourne's northern metropolitan region. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people facing disadvantage while leading a dedicated and skilled team.

Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, you will provide leadership across multiple programs, build a positive and high-performing team culture, strengthen community partnerships, oversee program performance and funding requirements, and drive continuous improvement. Most importantly, your leadership will help ensure older people can access the support, connections and services they need to maintain housing stability, improve wellbeing and remain connected to their communities.

We're looking for a values-driven leader with experience in community services, homelessness, housing, aged care or a related sector. You will have a proven ability to lead and support teams, build positive workplace culture, manage programs and funding requirements, and develop strong relationships with stakeholders. Strong communication skills, a commitment to social justice and person-centred practice, and a relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Community Development, Welfare Studies or a related discipline are essential.

In return, MOSS offers an attractive salary package with salary packaging benefits, SCHADS Level 6 classification (negotiable), the option of a fully maintained vehicle for personal use, additional paid leave between Christmas and New Year, generous personal and parental leave provisions, the option to purchase additional leave, access to an Employee Assistance Program, ongoing professional development opportunities, and a supportive and collaborative workplace culture where you can make a genuine impact every day.

MOSS welcomes applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, people living with disability, and members of the LGBTIQ+ community.
