• Key Responsibilities

:

• Process purchase requests as per established procedures whilst ensuring completeness and accuracy

Negotiate with local/international vendors to secure favourable terms such as payment facilities and lead time

Follow up with the supplier on the progress of material deliveries and rectify order inconsistencies

• Provide regular feedback to Operations proactively with regards to pending orders
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risks
• Maintain accurate records of purchase, price and existing suppliers
• Review the performance of all vendors and suppliers
• Research and evaluate prospective suppliers
• Qualifications & Experience

:

• Degree in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management or any equivalent qualification
• 3 years of proven working experience in imports, dealing with shipping lines and customs
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills
• Other Requisites

:

• Capable of working in a team and being results-oriented
• Able to handle work within tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and multitasking  skills
