EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

PROCUREMENT OFFICER

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities for construction and mining operations, ensuring the timely sourcing and supply of materials, equipment, consumables, and services while maintaining cost efficiency and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

* Source and procure construction materials, mining equipment, spares, tools, PPE, fuel, and operational consumables.* Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations and prepare comparative analyses.* Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.* Issue purchase orders and monitor deliveries to ensure timely supply.* Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.* Monitor stock levels and coordinate with stores and site teams to avoid shortages.* Support construction and mining operations with urgent procurement requirements.* Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company procurement procedures.* Prepare procurement and supplier performance reports.

Qualifications and Experience

* Degree in Purchasing & Supply, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.* Professional qualification such as CIPS is an added advantage.* Minimum of 5 years’ procurement experience, preferably in the construction and mining industry.* Experience sourcing mining equipment, construction materials, heavy-duty spares, and operational consumables.* Strong knowledge of procurement procedures and inventory management systems.
