Cork , P51 NP28 We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Pig Farm Assistants (3 required) to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with the daily care and management of pigs while maintaining high standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and biosecurity. Key Duties and Responsibilities Feed and water pigs according to farm schedules. Monitor the health and welfare of livestock and promptly report any concerns. Clean and disinfect pig houses, pens, feeding systems, and equipment. Assist with breeding, farrowing, weaning, and the movement of pigs. Administer routine treatments and vaccinations under supervision where required. Maintain strict biosecurity and animal welfare standards. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment safely. Record production, feeding, medication, and livestock data accurately. Assist with loading and unloading livestock when required. Carry out general farm maintenance and other duties as assigned. Essential Requirements At least 2 years’ relevant experience working on a commercial pig farm. Good knowledge of pig husbandry, animal welfare, and farm hygiene. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual farm work. Good communication skills in English. Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends when required. A full driving licence is desirable but not essential.
