Meath , Viastar Limited are currently looking for a Farm Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the employer's sites located in Carnaross, Kells, Co. Meath and Kilmaglish, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. The role involves planning, organising, and supervising all farming activities to ensure efficient production, high standards of animal welfare, compliance with Irish regulations, and the effective management of staff and farm resources. Key Duties and Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the farm Plan, organise, and supervise all agricultural activities, including livestock and/or crop production as applicable. Monitor animal health and welfare. Develop and implement feeding, breeding, grassland, and herd management programmes. Manage farm staff, including scheduling work, training employees, and supervising performance. Maintain accurate records relating to livestock, production, medicines, feed, machinery, and financial performance. Manage farm budgets, purchase supplies, and liaise with suppliers, contractors, veterinarians, advisors, and regulatory authorities. Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation, environmental regulations, and biosecurity procedures. Monitor productivity and recommend improvements to maximise efficiency and profitability. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a similar role essential Remuneration is €36,605 per annum based on a standard 39 hour week.
