Job Description
53.8836669921875;-6.38419580459595;Co. Louth , Youth Work Ireland is seeking a passionate and motivated Our Generation Youth Worker to join the Our Generation Project in County Louth. This full-time hybrid role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting the mental health, wellbeing, and personal development of young people through innovative youth work programmes. As an Our Generation Youth Worker, you will recruit and engage young people, build strong relationships with schools, youth clubs, and community organisations, and deliver structured programmes including Mind Matters, CHOICE, Stand UPP, and Rise Up. These programmes focus on emotional resilience, leadership, healthy relationships, wellbeing, and peace-building across communities. In this role, you will deliver evidence based youth programmes that promote mental health, emotional resilience, leadership, and wellbeing for young people. You will work across schools, youth clubs, and community organisations throughout County Louth, building strong partnerships and creating engaging opportunities that empower young people and support positive outcomes. You will also collaborate with colleagues and partner organisations to deliver high-quality programmes that strengthen communities and encourage cross-community and cross-border engagement. Key Requirements * Level 7 qualification (or higher) in Youth & Community Work, Social Work, Social Care, or a related Social Science discipline. * Experience delivering structured programmes or workshops with young people. * Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills. * Ability to engage young people in a variety of educational and community settings. * Full, clean driving licence and access to a car (essential). * Willingness to travel regularly throughout County Louth. This is a 35-hour per week hybrid position, a fixed-term contract from September 2026 to September 2027, with a starting salary of €41,500.49.
