Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and strengthening the project's monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and learning (MERL) systems. The officer will ensure high-quality data collection, management, analysis, reporting, and utilisation to support evidence-based decision-making, adaptive project management, donor reporting, and carbon project performance monitoring.
Key Experience
At least three (3) years of relevant experience in monitoring and evaluation of donor-funded development or conservation projects.
Experience developing logical frameworks, results frameworks and performance indicators.
Experience working with large datasets and conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Experience in environmental conservation, climate change, natural resource management, pastoral livelihoods or carbon projects is highly desirable.
Experience supporting donor reporting and project evaluations.
Experience using digital data collection platforms
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants should possess:
Bachelor's degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, Project Management, or a related field.
A Master's degree will be an added advantage.
Professional training in Monitoring & Evaluation will be an added advantage.
