The Harare Institute of Public Health (HIPH) invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and highly motivated individuals for the position of Lecturer – Mortuary Sciences.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities • Teach Mortuary Sciences modules at National Certificate (NC) level.• Prepare and deliver lectures, practical demonstrations and laboratory sessions. • Develop teaching materials and assessment instruments. • Ensure compliance with health, safety, ethical and professional standards during practical training. • Supervise student practicals, research projects and industrial attachment. • Participate in curriculum review, moderation and quality assurance processes. • Maintain accurate academic records and contribute to departmental development.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's in Mortuary Sciences, Funeral Services Management, Anatomy, Biomedical Sciences or a related field. • A Master's in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage. • A teaching qualification will be an added advantage. • Relevant professional registration and industry experience will be an added advantage. General Requirements • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong organisational and administrative abilities. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and e-learning platforms. • Commitment to academic excellence, professionalism, integrity and continuous professional development.
