Join Our Team as an Employment Mentor!

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities? Do you thrive on empowering others to achieve their employment goals? We’re looking for Employment Mentors to join our growing team in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne.

As an Employment Mentor, you will:

The role of Employment Mentor, will be responsible for guiding and mentoring our participants to achieve their employment goals.

Ideally living in the Inner North/West Suburbs of Melbourne, you will be able to think outside the box, communicate with a range of key stakeholders and broker work integrated learning job opportunities that will lead to rewarding and sustainable employment using the customised employment model.

This role is casual (20 hours per week) with the view to go to permanent part-time or full-time for the right candidate, and will require travel within the Western Suburbs of Melbourne.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Experience dealing with a broad cross-section of stakeholders, and strong stakeholder management.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment while maintaining a customer service focus and confidentiality.
  • Strong computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office / CRM's highly regarded.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work with adaptability and maturity.
  • Ability to source new stakeholder relationships for employment opportunities.
  • Current drivers license and reliable vehicle.
  • Cert III or IV in a community services or disability studies is highly regarded.
  • A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC) and Working with Children check (WWC) is to be obtained at your own expense. Due to NDIS requirements we are unable to employ for this role without an NDISWC. We therefore strongly encourage applicants to commence the NDISWC prior to interviews, as clearance can take up to 4 weeks.

Work Location:

Hybrid/Remote in Western Suburbs.
