JOB OPPORTUNITY

DRIVER TRAINER

Strauss Logistics Zimbabwe is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Driver Trainer.

Duties and Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Conduct theoretical and practical driver training programmes* Assess driver competence and provide coaching and performance feedback* Promote and instil a culture of safe and defensive driving* Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements* Conduct driver inductions and refresher training programmes* Monitor driver performance and recommend corrective actions* Maintain accurate training records and reports* Support continuous driver development and safety improvement initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

REQUIREMENTS

* Minimum of 10 years’ international heavy commercial vehicle driving experience* Valid Class 2 Driver’s Licence* Valid Defensive Driving Certificate* Valid Medical Certificate* Proven experience in driver coaching, mentoring and training* Excellent knowledge of defensive driving techniques and road safety regulations* Knowledge of current Road Traffic Regulations, Environmental Management Agency (EMA) Regulations, and Petroleum Industry Regulations* Strong communication, presentation and report-writing skills* Computer literacy (MS Office)* Driver Instructor, Assessor or Facilitator qualification will be an added advantage
