53.2839965820313;-7.52942895889282;Ballyduff , Tullamore , Co. Offaly , R35 Y478 We are seeking an experienced and reliable Dairy Farm Assistant for a full-time position on a dairy farm. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operation of the farm and the care and management of the dairy herd. Duties will include milking cows, operating and cleaning milking equipment, feeding and watering livestock, calf rearing, assisting during calving, monitoring animal health and welfare, safely moving and handling livestock, maintaining farm hygiene and biosecurity standards, cleaning and maintaining animal housing, assisting with grassland management and fencing, general farm maintenance, and operating tractors and farm machinery where appropriately trained. Applicants should have previous practical experience in dairy farming or livestock husbandry and a good understanding of milking procedures, animal welfare, calf care, feeding, hygiene and biosecurity. Candidates should be reliable, hardworking, physically fit, able to follow instructions and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Experience operating farm machinery is desirable. An agricultural qualification is advantageous but relevant practical dairy farming experience will also be considered.
