Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill in the following vacancies that have arisen within Makoni Rural District Council.

CREDIT CONTROLLER (GRADE 8)

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

* Identifying changes in the socio-economic environment and proposing action to avert losses.* Analysing debt and recommending appropriate action to management.* Assisting in accounting activities including financial management, debt management and banking.* Submitting reports to the Treasurer on debt management.* Initiating legal proceedings where debts are not paid within the agreed timeframe.* Reconciling debtors’ accounts and resolving debtor account queries.

Qualifications and Experience

* Minimum HND or Degree in Accounting or Finance.* Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.* At least three (3) years’ relevant experience.* Clean record of service.* Knowledge of laws and regulations governing debt collection.* Membership of a recognised professional body is an added advantage.* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.* Clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence.
