JOB TITLE: Concrete Pump Operator

LOCATION: Kanduyi, Bungoma

SALARY: Gross KSh 35,000 – 40,000

The Concrete Pump Operator will be responsible for the safe operation, control, and basic maintenance of concrete pumping equipment on construction sites. The role involves ensuring efficient and accurate pumping of concrete to required locations, maintaining equipment performance, and adhering strictly to safety and site operational standards.

• Operate concrete pumping equipment to deliver concrete accurately and efficiently on construction sites.

• Set up, position, and prepare concrete pump systems before operation.

• Coordinate with site engineers, foremen, and concrete teams during pumping activities.

• Monitor pump performance during operation and adjust settings as required.

• Ensure safe handling of high-pressure pumping systems to prevent blockages, spills, or accidents.

• Carry out routine inspection, cleaning, and basic maintenance of the concrete pump.

• Identify and report mechanical faults or operational issues promptly.

• Clear blockages and perform basic troubleshooting when necessary.

• Maintain proper operational logs including pump usage and maintenance records.

• Ensure strict adherence to occupational health and safety procedures at all times.

• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

• Relevant technical or vocational certificate qualification.

• Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Concrete Pump Operator.

• Hands-on experience operating construction site concrete pumps (stationary or mobile).

• Strong understanding of concrete pumping systems, pressure control, and safety procedures.

• Ability to troubleshoot blockages and minor mechanical issues.

• Experience working in large-scale construction projects is an added advantage.

• Physically fit and able to work in demanding site conditions.

• High level of discipline, reliability, and safety awareness.

• Strong technical expertise in concrete pumping operations

• High safety awareness in high-pressure equipment handling

• Problem-solving and quick decision-making skills
