Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business, partnership, sponsorship, donor, and revenue opportunities aligned with A1-4AI’s mission and strategic priorities.
  • Visit schools to introduce and promote Pedagic’s solutions to school leaders and stakeholders.isit schools to introduce and pro
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, sponsors, funders, and other external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies focused on organizational growth, financial sustainability, and market expansion.
  • Lead outreach efforts, pitch meetings, follow-up communication, and engagement with prospective partners and clients.
  • Prepare proposals, concept notes, partnership decks, funding applications, and other business development materials.
  • Drive revenue growth by increasing sales of the Institute's services, programmes, memberships, and affiliated products through strategic business development initiatives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams that align with the Institute's mission and growth objectives.
  • Develop and execute fundraising strategies that consistently meet or exceed the Institute's fundraising targets, ensuring long-term financial sustainability.
  • Conduct market and ecosystem research to identify trends, partnership opportunities, competitor activity, and areas for innovation.
  • Track leads, opportunities, business development activities, and outcomes, and provide regular progress reports and forecasts.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment between business development efforts and the Institute’s programs, operations, and strategic goals.
  • Support the business development needs of affiliated products and initiatives within the ecosystem, including Pedagic, Terra Dating, and other current or future ventures, as assigned.
  • Ensure professionalism, compliance, and alignment with organizational values in all partnership and business development activities.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, International Relations, Public Policy, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in business development, partnerships, fundraising, sales, or external relations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proposal and presentation development.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong interest in advancing artificial intelligence awareness, education, governance, and innovation in Africa.


Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a nonprofit, startup, social enterprise, education, innovation, or ecosystem-building environment.
  • Experience supporting growth across multiple products, programs, or business lines.
  • Familiarity with Africa’s AI, education, policy, research, or digital innovation landscape.
  • Experience in proposal writing, partnership development, sponsorship acquisition, or revenue generation.
