Job Specifications
Officers are responsible to their Deputy Director, for undertaking activities that will enable the Authority to achieve its strategic goals through implementation of efficient and effective systems of acquisition of goods, works and services, as well as disposal of assets.
Duties and responsibilities will entail;
Providing input into the annual procurement and disposal plans;
Implementing the annual procurement and disposal plans;
Coordinating procurement and disposal activities;
Preparing contract documents for goods, works and services;
Liaising with the user department to ensure effective implementation of contracts for goods, works and services;
Providing secretariat to committees’ incidental to procurement of goods and services, and disposal of assets;
Overseeing periodic and annual stocktaking exercise;
Coordinating disposal of assets activities; and
Preparing draft statutory reports to PPRA.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: -
A minimum period of eight (8) years in relevant work experience and at least three (3) years in supervisory role in a position in the Public Service or Private Sector;
Masters Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Purchasing, logistics, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
A member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or Chartered Institute of Supplies (CIPS) and in good standing;
Proficiency in computer applications.
