Descripción del Puesto
Responsibilities:
Supervise the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods.
Coordinate the loading and unloading of deliveries to ensure the timely receipt and shipment of products.
Ensure products are stored correctly to prevent damage, spoilage, or loss.
Monitor warehouse activities to ensure compliance with company procedures and operational standards.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock levels are updated in the inventory management system.
Conduct routine cycle counts and periodic stock-taking exercises.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
Monitor product shelf life and ensure proper stock rotation using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) or First-Expiry, First-Out (FEFO) principles where applicable.
Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve productivity and operational targets.
Assign daily tasks and monitor employee performance.
Ensure adherence to workplace safety procedures and company policies.
Foster teamwork and maintain a positive working environment.
Ensure compliance with warehouse health, safety, and security standards.
Monitor the proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment.
Report accidents, damaged goods, equipment faults, and safety hazards promptly.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards applicable to FMCG operations.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse performance reports.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, inventory accuracy, dispatch timelines, and warehouse productivity.
Collaborate with logistics, procurement, sales, and finance teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Recommend process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, HND, or OND in supply chain or a related field.
Proven years of warehouse or inventory management experience, preferably within an FMCG, manufacturing, retail, or distribution environment.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and stock management.
Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, or inventory management software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
