You will serve as Victim Advocate and Educator for the Family Readiness Division and Fleet and Family Support Services Division. You will coordinate with FAP case manager in developing appropriate plan of assistance/intervention, which provides for the safety of the victim and their family members. You will provide advocacy service to non-offending parents or caregiver of the identified victims of child abuse. You will develop and facilitate briefings and classes to commands and other military agencies on domestic abuse and child abuse. You will provide training on domestic abuse prevention, identification of child and spouse abuse, and provide resources to prevent and treat domestic abuse and Navy's policy regarding family violence. You will train all Child Youth Program (CYP) personnel who work with children on the causes and effect of child abuse and neglect, identification of child abuse and neglect and the reporting responsibilities. You will provide outreach services to promote awareness of Domestic Violence and Child Abuse to the community through events, online promotions and other coordinated services with Commands. You will be responsible for responding to afterhours calls to the FAP On-Call Phone to address and offer VA services to whomever is calling to report DV or CA incidents.
