Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. The Director of Strength and Conditioning serves as the supervisory coach for the installation¿s strength and conditioning program. The incumbent develops training protocols and implements standardized training methodologies to improve the readiness, lethality, and resilience of total force in all domains of fitness ¿ physical, mental, spiritual, and social. The Director of Strength and Conditioning is responsible for regularly maintaining and implementing professional standards of services, and continuously regulates and ensures proper coaching methodologies, coaching standards, and education are provided to Marines and authorized users. The incumbent formulates, organizes, sets priorities, and implements a program level business plan that ensures the success of the strength and conditioning program. Facilitates program evaluation, reviews, and programmatic goals to encourage and support physical strength and conditioning. Responsible for routinely auditing strength and conditioning programs and facilities for quality assurance and advising leadership in the planning, coordination, and execution of the day-to-day strength, conditioning, and administrative operations Reviews administrative content such as briefs assessment and training outcomes provided by Strength and Conditioning Coaches and Sport and Performance Data Analyst, the incumbent is responsible for the final approval and the briefing of presentation materials to leadership communicating program information. The incumbent delivers briefs on a variety of topics consisting of a variety of details and will present briefs to supervisors, commands, and other entities as needed. Maintains strength and conditioning program visibility by advising leadership on marketing and community outreach capabilities. Conducts evaluations of services and advises leadership and commands regarding physical training programs and physical training needs to include individual participant status in attaining performance-based goals and objectives, promotes and encourages maximal participation, and assists staff by resolving programming challenges. Evaluates and tracks strength and conditioning program outcomes to improve and uses results to address barriers and recommend the implementation of other services to support Marines and patrons. Utilizes multiple resources for programming such as Microsoft Office, Excel, Strength and Conditioning software, and Athletic Performance Management Systems. Inspects the facilities routinely check to ensure sanitation, maintenance, and sustainment of strength and conditioning assets. The incumbent will provide staffing or work during Marine Corps performance-based training events - and coordinate with the WARR performance center manager to prioritize scheduled unit-based strength and conditioning activities. Works with the Director of Athletic Training to align operations and services related to injury management and reconditioning performance programming. Reviews and updates installation specific strength and conditioning practical application clinics to ensure course work focuses on improving performance in skill related to a sport or operational tasks and is evidence-based following strength and conditioning industry level standards. Develops internal training and education for strength and conditioning employees for the purpose of optimizing employee performance, program delivery, and reducing risk for injury. Represents the installation strength and conditioning program by serving on working groups or part of advisory groups, and present local installation best practices and barriers that impact program success. Implements a strength and conditioning program with a focus on safety, wellbeing, and includes a reconditioning strength and conditioning program and ensures subordinate personnel refer participants to the appropriate resources or medical provers when necessary. The incumbent assigns and reviews daily work to subordinates and ensures completion of established deadlines. Interviews and conduct technical discussions for candidates for positions and recommend appointments, promotion, or reassignment to other positions. Establishes and adjusts short-term priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work. Establishes division of the workload and helps to establish long-term goals and daily action plans to meet goals associated with strength and conditioning programs. Provides direction and advice to employees assisting them with administrative tasks and programming.
