This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional This position is located at the VA Boston Healthcare system Brockton campus. The Social Worker Program Coordinator serves as the Local Recovery Coordinator (LRC) for Mental Health Service and reports directly to the Intensive Community Recovery and Rehabilitation Team (ICIRT) Director. The incumbent serves as the facility's subject matter expert for recovery-oriented systems of care and provides service-wide leadership, consultation, education, program coordination, strategic planning, policy development, quality improvement, and recovery transformation activities throughout the Mental Health Service. Although organizationally assigned to ICIRT and a member of the ICIRT Leadership Team, the Local Recovery Coordinator functions across the entire continuum of Mental Health Service rather than within a single clinical program. The incumbent collaborates with Mental Health leadership, program managers, inpatient and outpatient programs, residential and rehabilitation services, interdisciplinary teams, Veterans, peer specialists, families, and community partners to integrate recovery principles into clinical practice, operations, education, quality improvement, and system redesign. The incumbent leads development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous refinement of the facility Recovery Transformation Plan under the general direction of the ICIRT Director and in collaboration with Mental Health leadership. The Senior Social Worker coordinates interdisciplinary participation, facilitates consensus, monitors progress, identifies barriers, and promotes accountability to ensure implementation of recovery-oriented initiatives throughout Mental Health Service. The Social Worker serves as the facility lead for the Re-Engaging Veterans with Targeted Serious Mental Illness (SMI Re-Engage) Program, serves as the VA liaison to the Vet-to[1]Vet Program, coordinates the annual Mental Health Summit and other recovery-focused educational initiatives, and promotes collaboration with community partners to improve Veteran recovery outcomes. The Social Worker maintains direct clinical responsibilities consistent with national VHA policy governing the Local Recovery Coordinator position. Learn more Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade). Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience. Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66. Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Ad-Hoc Telework: uthorized telework that occurs on an occasional, non-routine basis. Telework that occurs to complete short-term special assignments or to accommodate special circumstances even though the telework arrangement may occur continuously for a limited and specific period of time.
