About the Position: This is a TERM position NTE 2 years. The incumbent serves as a Range Operations Officer often working independently to assist the Range Officer, in planning, coordinating, and monitoring the daily range operations of the range and training area complex. In the absence of the Range Officer, responsible for the command and control of the Range Division. Technical authority on all matters pertaining to the scheduling, conduct of live fire training, range utilization, range safety. Prepare documents supporting various installation range plans. Direct assigned personnel in all aspects of their job in order to clarify the direction of the contract. Evaluate performance of assigned personnel to ensure that work is being performed within the Scope of Work of the contract. Provide technical, tactical, and managerial guidance on all matters pertaining to planning, scheduling and execution of the daily range operation mission. Serve as point of contact for budget matters impacting or pertaining to the daily ranges and training facilities operations. Plan work to be accomplished, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare work schedules. Assign work based on priorities, consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments.
