Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters, Program Management Division, located in Washington, D.C. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above. In this position, you will lead the planning, acquisition, deployment, and sustainment of border infrastructure and technology projects to deliver integrated solutions in support of U.S. Border Patrol operations. The position directly advances the CBP and USBP mission by providing analyses and program oversight that shape major policy and resource decisions, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of border infrastructure and technology programs across PMOD and service-wide operations. This position starts at a salary of $143,913.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10). As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex border infrastructure and technology programs to ensure effective planning, execution, and continuous improvement in support of U.S. Border Patrol. Typical duties will include: Managing the triple constraints of cost, schedule and performance; long range planning for acquisition programs; acquisition program budget and financial management; program execution; and monitoring contractor performance. Planning, developing, and establishing the acquisition strategy for the assigned program and providing input to U.S. Border Patrol senior acquisition management personnel regarding the budget and status related to program. Directing of a team of employees who perform tasks such as project management, facilities management, operational availability analysis, and asset management. Having oversight of program management office investment planning and execution management, to include investment analysis, project planning, change management, and program and project controls. Reviewing program progress, measuring performance and taking necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost.
