You will serve as a Preservationist with Fort Bowie National Historic Site, in Bowie, AZ. The is a Career-Seasonal appointment. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as permanent appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work for approximately 11.5 months from mid-November - October in pay status, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year (half of the month of November). Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Prepare and paint surfaces, performs plumbing repairs, and performs carpentry and masonry work. Use a computer as a primary tool for sending and receiving messages, accessing Facility Management Software System (FMSS) work orders, seeking vendor information, and performing record keeping. Documents daily accomplishments on Facility Management Software System (FMSS) through the WORK Kiosk. Records work activity; management unit; work location; as well as labor, equipment, and materials used. Provide leadership for individual and group park volunteers on a variety of general labor projects. May serve as a member or officer on a park committee(s). Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship.
