Descripción del Puesto
Responsibilities:
Design plumbing, water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater, and sanitary systems for building projects.
Prepare engineering calculations, layouts, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
Design hot and cold water distribution systems, booster pump systems, water storage, and wastewater management systems.
Support the design of fire protection systems, including hydrants, hose reels, and sprinkler piping where applicable.
Ensure plumbing designs comply with local building regulations and international engineering standards.
Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of plumbing systems.
Review contractor drawings and ensure work complies with approved designs and specifications.
Conduct regular site inspections and monitor project progress.
Resolve technical issues encountered during construction and installation.
Coordinate with architects, civil, electrical, and HVAC engineers to ensure integrated MEP solutions.
Develop preventive maintenance schedules for plumbing and mechanical systems.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to water supply, drainage, pumps, valves, and piping systems.
Recommend improvements to increase system efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
Support facility maintenance teams with technical guidance when required.
Ensure all engineering activities comply with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
Conduct quality inspections and testing of installed plumbing systems.
Ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and applicable building codes.
Prepare inspection reports, commissioning reports, and project documentation.
Assist in project planning, budgeting, and procurement of plumbing materials and equipment.
Monitor project costs and ensure efficient utilization of resources.
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors regarding plumbing materials and installations.
Support project handover and client training on installed systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (B.Eng./B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Proven years of experience in plumbing engineering, MEP engineering, or building services engineering.
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, water supply networks, drainage systems, sewage systems, pumps, valves, and fire protection systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP, or similar engineering design software.
Good understanding of hydraulic calculations and plumbing design principles.
Strong knowledge of relevant plumbing codes, building regulations, and engineering standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
