Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the petrochemical plant to ensure continuous and efficient production.
Plan and coordinate production activities to meet operational targets.
Monitor plant performance and implement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
Ensure operational procedures and SOPs are consistently followed.
Maintenance & Asset Management Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Ensure all plant equipment is maintained in optimal working condition.
Monitor equipment performance and recommend repairs or replacements where necessary.
Maintain accurate maintenance records.
Enforce strict compliance with HSE policies and regulatory requirements.
Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments.
Lead incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action implementation.
Ensure emergency response procedures are understood and practiced.
Supervise plant personnel and coordinate daily work schedules.
Monitor staff productivity and ensure adherence to operational standards.
Identify training needs and support employee development.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Ensure products meet company quality standards.
Work closely with QA/QC to resolve quality issues.
Monitor operational processes to minimize product loss and wastage.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Requirements:
Minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
HSE certification is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years' experience managing plant operations within the LPG, manufacturing, oil & gas, or industrial sector.
Demonstrated experience leading operational teams and managing plant equipment
Remuneration:
NGN 450,000 – 500,000 Net Monthly.
