About the Position: This position is located at The Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Serve as a therapeutic consultant to physicians on evaluation and implementation of optimal medication plans for inpatients and outpatients. Develop, order, and adjust individualized medication regimens per protocol or consent of physicians. Administer medications according to provider guidance and pre-established protocols. Counsel patients on the use, proper method of administration of medications, side effects, precautions and other general information. Provide lectures for continuing education to pharmacy, nursing and medical staff on a variety of subjects including general pharmaceutical information and complex topics such as pharmacokinetics, therapeutics and pharmacology. Perform medication distribution functions to include the filling, checking, counseling, and dispensing of outpatient prescriptions.
