You will serve as a Mechanical Engineering Technician within NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. You will be responsible for the daily activities of the machine shop including daily and preventative maintenance on all machines in the shop. You will develop advanced programs using FeatureCAM software and operate CNC machines and other machine tools and shop equipment to fabricate and modify precision parts. You will use precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, graduated scales, gauges blocks, gage pins, dividers, and angle indicators as required for the fabrication, assembly, and inspection of mechanical components and spacecraft. You will direct machinists and technicians on the daily activities of the machine shop including daily and preventative maintenance on all machines in the shop.
