You will serve as a PROJECT ENGINEER at the PACIFIC MISSILE RANGE FACILITY, BARKING SANDS, KAUAI. You will be responsible for the comprehensive planning and specification development of critical mechanical systems supporting facility construction, maintenance, and modernization efforts. You will develop complex designs and analyses utilizing advanced mechanical engineering software, such as AUTOCAD, CADCAM, or equivalent computer programs. You will make site investigation field trips to project sites to collect all pertinent data and refine or develop project scope by inspecting the existing conditions and participating in meetings with sponsoring activity. You will perform reviews and check projects by in-house engineers and architects. You will conduct various studies, monitor project progress, and prepare quarterly reports. You will investigate and/or evaluate mechanical issues and concerns in existing facilities to develop reports that includes recommendations and options for remediation or corrective measures, as applicable.
