This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the PROFESSIONAL Work Category at the FULL PERFORMANCE Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA OC/DISA GLOBAL OPERATIONS COMMAND (DG3). Performs the Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) mission on behalf of the Defense Information System Network and is an integral part of the DISA Cyber Security Service Provider team providing services to mission partners and war fighters. Responsible for the intrusion detection, incident response, and countermeasure development and executing actions for the Global Infrastructure supporting the DoD, Services and Agencies Implements, manages, maintains, and analyzes tactics, techniques, procedures (TTPs) and security requirements to protect the DISA Enterprise and the information stored within the enterprise. Provide Command and Control of DCO operations, incident response, security monitoring, cyber threats and related issues as well as prepares white papers, implementation plans and briefing support for senior leadership.
