Conducts studies and prepare technical reports and analytical products regarding the materials, skills and manufacturing processes requisite to the production of critical weapons systems. Analyzes the components of various systems and construct systematic assessments of the manufacturing technology and production management systems and contributors employed in their manufacture. Presents and supports findings and conclusions derived from manufacturing engineering studies to OSD, the Services, Defense Agencies, and DCMA at inter-agency meetings. Develops graphics, presentations, and drafts scripts for briefings and speeches for use by DoD representatives at the agency, department, and congressional level. Provides industrial engineering expertise to DoD acquisition executives in regard to the skills, facilities, equipment, processes, methods, materials, and technologies needed in the production and maintenance of a wide variety of defense products. Advises on the procedural and technical aspects of federal acquisition requirements in regard to manufacturing and industrial capability concerns.
