We're a lean, fast-moving team building a product that's already live.
The Role
You'll own features end-to-end from database schema to polished mobile UI—and eventually lead the build of our native iOS/Android app.
You'll work directly with the founder and have real autonomy over technical decisions.
We're looking for someone who is not only a strong engineer but also has product management experience or strong product instincts.
You'll help shape feature requirements, prioritise work, think critically about user experience, and contribute to product decisions alongside technical implementation.
What You'll Work On
New features across our Next.js web app (payments, video, social, recommendations)
Performance, reliability, and monitoring improvements
Native mobile app (iOS + Android) - React Native / Expo - when the time comes
Admin CMS tooling for content operations
Collaborating on product planning, feature scoping, prioritisation, and translating business requirements into technical solutions
Tech Stack
Web: Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, React Query
Backend: Supabase (PostgreSQL), Next.js API Routes
Video: Bunny.net Stream, HLS.js
Payments: Stripe Checkout + Webhooks
Infra/Monitoring: Vercel, Sentry, PostHog, Axiom, Firebase Cloud Messaging
Future: React Native / Expo
Must-Haves
3+ years building production web apps in React/Next.js with TypeScript
Strong understanding of full-stack architecture (auth, databases, APIs, payments)
Experience with Supabase or another PostgreSQL-backed BaaS
Attention to UI detail—you care about pixel-perfect, mobile-first design
Comfortable working across the whole stack
Experience contributing to product management, including feature planning, prioritisation, roadmap discussions, or working closely with founders/product teams to define what gets built—not just how it's built
Nice-to-Haves
React Native / Expo experience (big plus—you'll be leading this build)
Video streaming experience (HLS, adaptive bitrate)
Stripe integration experience
Experience with PWAs
Familiarity with Turborepo or monorepo setups
Experience working in an early-stage startup where engineering and product responsibilities often overlap
