This position is located in FEMA, Resilience, Environmental Planning and Historical Preservation in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate for this position will have broad understanding of geospatial information systems and the use of GIS data in mobile applications to facilitate environmental and historic preservation compliance. What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will be a Senior Geospatial Analyst, primary responsibility has a wide range of program development and coordination activities that will provide input and advisory services, implementation, and execution activities associated with the agency's geospatial information programs (GIS). Typical assignments include: Serving as a technical expert in geospatial database management. Organizing and implementing database management processes including data maintenance, data cleanup, and issuance of guidance and standards to improve data quality. Leading cross-functional working groups, user groups, and project teams, as needed, to achieve agreed upon outcomes within the specified cost, schedule, and scope. Leading multi-functional information technology programs and projects, which involve high interest, high value IT equipment, software, emerging technologies, and other special attributes. Actively engaging supervisor, team leadership, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure awareness and coordinated management of project direction, status, risks, and issues.
