Descripción del Puesto
As a Division Chief at the GS-2210-15, you will be part of Ofc of the Chief Information Officer Office of Personnel Management. If selected the incumbent serves as a Division Chief and senior advisor responsible for the leadership, direction, and management of a highly visible information technology program that supports OPM's mission and customers.
Directs the end-to-end planning and execution of complex, high-visibility IT programs and projects, including cost and schedule estimating, programming, budgeting, requirements management, risk management, systems development life-cycle activities, documentation, and service availability. Leads strategic and long-range planning, modernization, configuration changes, implementations, and enhancements for enterprise IT systems, network and communications infrastructure, and related services. Evaluates technology, products, and service options; develops operating procedures and technical guidance; manages procurement-related activities; and resolves difficult technical, operational, and service-delivery issues. Directs budget formulation, execution, reporting, and resource allocation for projects supported by appropriated and revolving funds; monitors expenditures, contract costs, interagency agreements, and service-level commitments; and identifies cost savings, automation opportunities, and operational efficiencies. Oversees contractor-supported work and multidisciplinary federal teams; monitors service levels, system uptime and availability, deployments, migrations, testing, audits, inspections, and pre-deployment readiness; and coordinates responses to incidents, crises, and emergencies. Advises OCIO senior leadership on IT strategy, investment, risks, laws, regulations, policies, and mission impacts. Represents OPM in executive meetings, conferences, briefings, negotiations, and discussions with agency and external stakeholders.
