Duties Include But Not Limited To: Oral Diagnosis: Examination, diagnosis and treatment planning for dental diseases and trauma to the dental, oral and maxillofacial structures. Exodontia and Minor Oral Surgery: Uncomplicated extraction of erupted teeth; treatment of simple dental infections; minor surgery of the gingival tissues and alveolar bone; management of minor TMJ disorders using medications, occlusal therapy or occlusal appliances. Endodontics: Diagnosis and treatment of diseases and infections of the dental pulp. Periodontics: Diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the periodontal structures including surgical and non-surgical therapy designed to eliminate or correct periodontal conditions; maintenance procedures as needed for follow-up of initial therapy. Restorative Dentistry: Diagnosis and treatment as needed to restore missing tooth structure using American Dental Association approved restorative materials. Prosthodontics: Replacement of missing teeth and associated orofacial structures as needed to re-establish normal form, function and occlusion in the dental arch. Anesthesia Procedures: Local anesthesia procedures.
