This position is located in the DEA, Office of Forensic Sciences, Forensic Laboratories. This position(s) primary purpose is to serve as the Business Operations Specialist to provide liaison, administrative, and financial support for a forensic laboratory. As a your typical work assignments may include: Serving as point of contact with DEA Headquarters elements, and the day-to-day coordination and liaison activities that involve other Federal law enforcement agencies, U.S. Attorney's Office, and state and local enforcement agencies to resolve difficult and unusual problems pertaining to laboratory services. Independently performing human resources management liaison and advisory services for an organization with human resources issues of a complex or specialized nature. Developing acquisition objectives and milestones to obtain the contracted services within the timeframe demanded for the particular project. Allocating funds to individual activities/functional areas based on an analysis of activity budget estimates, historical expenditures, projected workload, and approved funding.
