This job opportunity is for an ALLIED TRADES WORKER, position description D1220000, within the CSMS-1 of the New Jersey National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to assist higher graded workers in performing work in the skilled trades' occupations in support of maintenance functions. As an ALLIED TRADES WORKER, WG-5801-8, you will: Operate various welding equipment Modify, repair and make canvas parts Repairs mobile equipment metal body components such as fenders, panels, hooks, truck beds. Remove and replace wood type trailer decking Prepare surfaces by sanding and wire brushing Perform other Duties as Assigned Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership.
