Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join our team at JN Chevrolet, providing exceptional guest services and maintenance support in a dynamic hospitality environment. This role involves engaging with customers, performing vehicle and equipment inspections, and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a background in dealership or retail service, and the ability to handle various customer interactions with professionalism. Duties

  • Greet guests and assist with their service needs in a friendly and professional manner
  • Drive customer vehicles safely within parking areas for service or delivery purposes
  • Provide assistance and support to the Service Department in the maintenance of the Service Department, to include such additional duties as cleaning and assisting in the organization of the Service Department.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding service recommendations and vehicle status
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed and customer interactions
  • Assist with delivery of parts or vehicles as needed, ensuring timely and safe transportation
  • Responsible for making sure that all vehicles assigned are washed before the customer picks it up.
  • Support dealership or retail operations by providing excellent guest services and ensuring customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • At least one year experience as a Lot Technician or Driver preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills is considered an asset
  • Valid driver's license with experience driving manual transmissions is required
  • Must have an acceptable driver's abstract
  • Ability to navigate parking facilities efficiently and safely
  • Excellent guest service skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction
  • Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented attitude

Pay: $17-$20/hour

This role targets sales and business development: competitive market analysis, capture strategies, and winning proposals. Stay informed on local, state, and national transportation and freight forwarding markets. Maintain key sales contacts with civilian and business personnel.

Essential duties: identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business; conduct a minimum of 3-5 in-person sales presentations per day at customer locations; meet and exceed sales numbers and margins; build a pipeline of new business; follow up on leads and research prospects; guide price competitiveness; prepare and analyze pipeline data; join trade shows, training, or meetings when needed; keep a friendly professional appearance; resolve customer complaints; emphasize service features and benefits, quote prices, and discuss credit; send weekly activity reports to the Vice President and General Manager; review weekly sales activity and prospect status; coordinate with the Honolulu operations team and neighbor-island trucking partners; develop a weekly sales schedule and an after-action report; follow the company mission, vision, and core values.

Requirements: minimum 2 years of sales and business development in a fast-paced transportation and freight forwarding company; 1 year account manager experience; strong written and verbal communication; time management and organization; Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook); valid driver's license required. In person. Must relocate to Kauai, Hawaii before starting work. May move 50 to 100 pounds. Regularly exposed to outside weather, wet or humid conditions, moderate heat, and moving equipment.

Key Responsibilities
