Help lead a community-powered campaign for the 2026 Victorian State Election

Voices of Ashwood is seeking an experienced, collaborative and values-driven Volunteer Campaign Manager to help lead the campaign of our community-endorsed independent candidate for the 2026 Victorian State Election.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in a grassroots campaign that puts community at the centre of politics. Working with a dedicated team of volunteers, you will help build a campaign based on listening, integrity, respect and genuine community participation.

About the Role

The Campaign Manager is accountable to the Voices of Ashwood Campaign Committee and works closely with the endorsed independent candidate to deliver the committee's campaign strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the campaign.
  • Develop and implement the campaign plan.
  • Recruit, coordinate and support volunteers.
  • Organise campaign events, forums, street stalls and community engagement.
  • Coordinate campaign communications and media.
  • Monitor campaign progress and report to the Campaign Committee.
  • Coordinate early voting and election day operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Victorian electoral legislation.
  • Promote a respectful, inclusive and community-led campaign culture.

About You

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Experience leading people or volunteers.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to integrity, professionalism and respectful engagement.
  • Alignment with the values of the Community Independents Project.

Time Commitment

This is a volunteer leadership position. The commitment increases during the campaign period, early voting and election day.
