The Koorie Heritage Trust (KHT) is seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised and customer-focused Venue Hire and Operations Coordinator to lead the day-to-day coordination of our venue hire operations while supporting the smooth operation of our unique cultural facility at Federation Square.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Australia's leading First Peoples cultural organisations and play an important role in ensuring our venue hire clients, visitors and stakeholders enjoy a welcoming, professional and culturally safe experience.

Working closely with the Business Manager, you will coordinate all aspects of KHT's venue hire program, support organisational events, assist with building operations and facilities coordination, and contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of the Trust.

About the role

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of KHT's venue hire operations, including:

  • coordinating venue hire enquiries, bookings and client relationships
  • managing venue schedules, quotations, invoicing and post-event administration
  • preparing venue spaces and coordinating event logistics
  • liaising with clients, contractors and internal teams to ensure successful event delivery
  • supporting exhibition launches, education programs, corporate functions and other KHT events
  • assisting with building operations, facilities coordination and general office administration
  • maintaining venue hire records and operational systems, including Salesforce
  • identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency, client satisfaction and venue hire outcomes.

This is a varied and fast-paced role requiring excellent organisational skills, exceptional customer service and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

About you

  • has experience coordinating venue hire, events, hospitality or operational services

  • values teamwork, continuous improvement and cultural respect.

Experience working within the arts and cultural sector, events, hospitality, tourism, property or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
