You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST (NUCLEAR) in the Preservation Shop (Code 970), Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. You will establish metrics to identify material costs expended by each FY for Overhead Expenditures/Labor Expenditures monthly. You will spot audits shop trade theory/core tasks records and qualification records, for conformance with established guidelines. You will coordinate procurement, storage and the use of instructional materials and textbooks, audio-visual aids, training devices, and laboratory equipment. You will maintain a database of Code/Shop including courses to attend, date and time, training taken, proficiency rating of the course, etc. You will support the Code/Shop with preparing Proficiency Course Material, handouts, mock up support set up. You will communicate with other training departments and codes who will support your Code/Shop with data and support as appropriate.
