Pregnancy & Recovery Arc Mildura (PRAM) supports women, partners and families through pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, reproductive loss and early parenting. We believe every mother deserves to feel supported, seen and cared for — and that strong communities help families thrive.

Our volunteers help build a compassionate village around families across the Mildura and Mallee region, offering practical assistance, emotional support, advocacy and connection to local services.

About the Role

The Support Volunteer / Parent Mentor is a frontline, relational role providing practical, emotional and peer support to women and families. You’ll walk alongside parents experiencing unplanned or complicated pregnancy, miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal loss, post-abortion support needs, early parenting challenges or periods of isolation, distress or transition.

This hybrid role includes a mix of home visits, community based support and remote checkins. You’ll help families feel heard, informed and connected while promoting dignity, safety and trauma informed care.

You

You’re compassionate, warm and nonjudgemental, with lived experience or background in:

Pregnancy, birth or postpartum
Parenting
Pregnancy loss or grief
Community services, peer support or mentoring

You bring strong listening skills, emotional maturity and the ability to maintain professional boundaries. Formal qualifications are not required — lived experience is highly valued.
