CanRevive Inc. is a public benevolent institution, established in 1995 to support Chinese speaking people through their cancer journey. Its aim is to help to minimise the impact of cancer on patients and their families by providing information and emotional support to cater for their cultural and linguistic needs.

We are seeking a Support Service Coordinator to join the Support Service team to work in both Southwestern Sydney Region and Western Sydney Region.

The Support Service coordinator’s key responsibilities include organising information sessions, support and interest groups meetings, provide phone support, coordinate hospital visits, participate in projects with health and community organisations and support in-house events.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Social Sciences (e.g., social welfare, nursing) or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing support programs, running support groups and coordinate with members and volunteers.
  • Experience working with people living with cancers, elderly or family carers.
  • Good written & verbal communication skills in English.
  • Fluent in Cantonese & Mandarin and literate in Chinese.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and networking skills.
  • Good planning & organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Demonstrated experience of managing service delivery targets in line with funding and partner agreements.
  • Driver’s Licence and own car.
