DEPARTMENT OF BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES (ANATOMY UNIT)4.3.1 Senior Technician (1 Post)

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe duties and responsibilities of the post include:• Preparation of practical for students and assisting the Department in research innovation and industrializations.• Maintaining departmental equipment.• Taking inventory of Departmental assets.• Enforcing Health and Safety as prescribed in COSHH.• General housekeeping of the Departmental buildings and fittings ecosystem.• Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and ExperienceThe successful candidate must atleast have:• A Higher National Diploma in Biological Technology (HND) or BSc. Honours Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences and City and Guilds Il and III.• Familiarity with electron microscopy procedures and both human gross and Histology laboratories would be an added advantage.• Relevant post qualification experience.
