Job Description
About the Position: This position serves as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant (EMPA) provider in the capacity of credentials to provide primary medical services to all patients with in a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). This position is located in Ft. Stewart, GA at WINN Army Medical Center in the department of Emergency Medicine. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
Perform initial patient work-up by securing a health and medical history from the patient or family members and records findings.
Examine patients and determine the need for and order laboratory tests, X-rays, physician consultation and other procedures necessary to complete assessment of the patient.
Write prescriptions and order the administration of medications in accordance with approved treatment protocols.
Make clinical decisions and diagnoses disease, illness or injury and works collaboratively with the physician in providing patient care, management and revision of therapeutic plans.
Record entries into patient’s chart including daily progress notes with test results, treatment plans and outcomes.
