Job Description
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Former EDRP participants ineligible to apply. Major duties assigned, but not limited to: Oversee the professional and administrative management of assigned pharmacy service areas. Execute and monitor budgetary responsibilities for the department. Supervise multiple pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Manage personnel and foster effective interdepartmental relations. Collaborate with other services to support the medical facility's mission and goals. Develop and implement performance standards for staff. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting body requirements. Design and implement orientation and training programs for new and current staff. Develop and maintain systems to monitor staff performance and activities. Create and update policies and procedures relevant to the assigned area. Additional duties as assigned.
