- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all equipment and machinery
- Ensure timely repair of breakdowns to minimize production downtime
- Maintain maintenance logs, records, and reports with accuracy and consistency
- Coordinate installation, commissioning, and upgrading of machinery
- Monitor equipment performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
- Implement reliability-centered maintenance practices
- Ensure all machinery operates at optimal efficiency levels
Team Leadership & Capability Building:
- Build, train, and develop a high-performing maintenance team capable of taking ownership of day-to-day operations
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability within the team
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate maintenance staff and technicians
- Ensure effective delegation of tasks while maintaining quality and timeliness
- Foster a culture of discipline, ownership, and continuous improvement

Compliance, Safety and Standards:
- Ensure strict compliance with occupational health and safety standards
- Enforce food safety and hygiene standards in line with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Conduct routine safety inspections and risk assessments
- Ensure maintenance practices align with FSSC, HACCP, and internal quality systems
- Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness at all times
- Lead corrective actions for any compliance gaps identified
Cost Control and Efficiency:
- Control costs related to repairs, spare parts, and external services
- Optimize inventory levels for spare parts and tools
- Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime
- Implement modern maintenance systems and technologies where applicable
- Analyze maintenance data to support cost and performance optimization
Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives:
- Support the execution of the Congo pilot project, including coordination of equipment, setup, operational planning, and on-the-ground problem-solving to ensure successful deployment and performance
- Assist in procurement processes across projects, including sourcing equipment, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, and ensuring timely delivery aligned with operational needs
- Build and maintain operational and financial models to support decision-making (e.g., production costs, scaling scenarios, new facility planning)
- Support development and tracking of the partnership pipeline, including potential collaborators, suppliers, and industrial partners
- Identify and explore new business opportunities, particularly in B2B, ingredient markets, and regional expansion
- Lead or support waste-to-value initiatives, converting agricultural by-products into new revenue-generating streams
- Design and implement internal systems and processes to improve efficiency (e.g., tracking tools, SOPs, reporting frameworks)
- Conduct data analysis across operations, maintenance, and commercial activities to generate actionable insights
- Prepare clear data presentations, reports, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders
- Support cross-functional and cross-market projects, ensuring alignment between operations, engineering, and commercial priorities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 3–8 years’ experience in maintenance management, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and maintenance systems
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance

- High attention to detail, especially in compliance and documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with data (Excel, dashboards, basic modeling)
