You will interpret instructions, technical manuals, illustrations, specifications, diagrams, schematics, and similar guides to make repairs and modifications You will measure instruments and test equipment such as engine analyzers, dynamometers, exhaust analyzers, vacuum and fuel pump testers, injector testers, ignition timers, tachometers, ammeters, and ohmmeters. You will troubleshoot mechanical problems, analyze malfunctions, and determine the extent of repairs necessary. You will use and maintain hand and/or power tools and equipment required to do the work of heavy mobile equipment mechanic.
