Donegal , F92 YY38 Healthcare Assistant (HCA) Shifts: Day and Night duties (Roster basis) Salary & Pay: €32,691 gross per year (Based on a standard 39-hour work week) Note: This pay rate strictly follows the official Irish Government (DETE) framework for healthcare work permits. About Us: Hillcrest Nursing Home is a private nursing home located in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal. We provide high-quality, person-centered care in a supportive, professional, and friendly environment. We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our growing team. The successful candidates will support residents with daily living activities, helping to promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing in a warm and friendly environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist residents with activities of daily living. Provide companionship . Promote dignity, respect, and person-centered care at all times. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team. Requirements: Genuine interest in caring for older people. Good communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, compassionate, and professional attitude. Hold or be working towards a QQI Level 5 Certificate in Healthcare Support (or equivalent). Previous experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting .(desirable) Education: A Full QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support (all 8 modules completed). If your qualification is from outside Ireland, you must provide a NARIC Ireland translation. Training Option: If you do not have this qualification yet, you can still apply! However, you must formally agree to study and complete the full QQI Level 5 training within your first 24 months of working with us. Language: Good spoken and written English skills are required Preferred 1 year of experience working as an HCA in an elderly care or hospital setting. A genuine passion and love for taking care of older people.
